Distractions are everywhere in Business. From Social Media, to Netflix, to the people you hang around and interact with. So who, specifically, is the person that’s the most distracting?
The difference between 1st and 3rd can mean make or break.
Literally, I’m sure every single one of us has been there.
When you feel like you can;t even get out of bed, the stress and anxiety is simply too high.
So what do you do ?
Here's a quick 5 step process that will help.
In addition to this, I just want to say that TIME is a great healer too, and eventually, you'll see that there is a break in the 'storm' where you do begin to feel better and the world not look so bleak.
Tap into that break in the storm - it does come eventually given enough time.
Let me know what you think.
Taking Your Eye Off The Ball – it’s really easy to do as life ‘just happens’ and it gets in the way.
And then we lose our focus and before we know it the small little issue becomes a much bigger issue than it should have been and starts affecting all areas of your life.
But when you start to give it attention, and sometimes it doesn't need much (although sometimes it does!) the issue can be resolved quickly.
Obviously the best thing would be to never let things 'get away from you' - but as we all know, life doesn't quite work like that !
Perfection – it’s something that we all strive for, in order to be the very best that we can be.
But actually, what’s it really costing us ?
We end up putting things off as they're not 'perfect' and end up not even getting started in the first place.
When actually, all that is really needed is to get started.
Perfection can come later (It never does by the way as nothing can ever be perfect!)
Sometimes we get stuck in the problem, running the same negative thoughts around our heads as to why we can't move forward.
In this podcast I talk about how to change your mindset and move from continually thinking about the problem (and coming up short every time) to actually thinking about how the solution would look like.
We have plenty of time in the week to get stuff done, so this podcast should help you re-evaluate how you see the time you have.
Hope you enjoy it.
I was in Leeds this weekend just gone and I happened to be channel hopping where I saw a lady complaining about the fact that she could only holiday in Wales and not Portugal.
In the next sentence she talked about a number of TV programmes and it got me thinking ... What Are You Prepared To Give Up to get what you want out of life ?
Hope you enjoy it.
The cost of doing things like you've always done them is what you're about to miss out on in your own future.
For many that costs is acceptable. Imagine having to go to work for the rest of your life, until you're 65 (or beyond) ?
For some that's an easy life, with little fears (other than losing your job, losing your pension, losing your health, getting ill and finally when it's time to retire not being able to do so).
For others, (Like me - and by the fact you're reading this, YOU) - this isn't good enough.
We want more out of life. We don't want to wait for it.
Heck - why should we. We make life work on our terms, not the ones that society has made for us (get up go to work, come home, eat tea, play with the kids for half an hour, collapse on the couch and watch crap on the telly and tomorrow ... get to do it all over again).
But you need to raise your game - because everything that you've done so far has gotten you to hear.
Welcome - to understanding the costs of just having average thoughts and taking average actions.
Other Peoples Opinions.
They can make us, or break us.
So why do we put so much emphasis on what other people think, despite not having the information you do, despite not going through the 'pain' that you currently are, despite not having the experiences you have had, or the vision you have for your own future.
So here it is folks - this is what other peoples opinions are worth. Zip. Nada. Nothing. Zilch. Zero. Sweet F.A.
