Business & Marketing Domination - Fixed Tasks Versus Variable Tasks - in this video filmed this morning walking the dog (as you do!) I was thinking about fixed 'tasks' - the stuff that needs to get done each and every day - and so I thought I would make a video about it.

There are two types of tasks that we come across in our daily life, the fixed tasks that we know we have to get done, it's the task that we include in our schedule so we can dedicated a part of our day doing it because it's part of our routine, and the variable tasks are simple those that are not part of our routine.

So here's what I have to say to that - change that mindset, aside from asking that, ask yourself what you are capable of if you couldn't fail. You'd be surprised what a change of mindset can do.
Sales are the main heart of any business, sales are what makes or breaks a company or a brand. But that doesn't mean that sales are easy, it also doesn't mean that sales have to be very complicated.
With the right mindset and knowledge, sales will just be elementary for you.

What's one thing you can control in your life?
If you are in business and you feel that your success relies heavily on circumstance and luck, then there's something wrong with your current mindset, and with that mindset, you won't be getting anywhere near progress.
In business, (or life in general) you either control it or it controls you.
Thus, always pick the latter.
This is so important, and when you start to understand this, the whole world of possibility opens up for you
In this life, there are many things we don't get to control such as, the weather, our family, where were born and so many things. And there are times that we dwell so much on that, it brings us down, makes us feel hopeless and makes us believe we're stuck in a rut.
Which is why it's always a relief to be reminded that there are things we can actually control, and a little reminder goes a long way.
You only discover how important your website and data actually are when there's a problem. But something like 80% of businesses go down in over the next 5 years following a loss of data. So this is how I do it.

The podcast is based on the premise that there are 3 rules to getting wealthy.
Rule one – Cut Your COsts
Rule Two – Increase Income
Rule three – move the difference between those two numbers into property giving long term income.
So, it comes under Rule two – Increasing Income.
The whole point here is to ensure that your business is the ‘income’ and that it grows. In doing so it will help you reduce your costs by paying down any mortages, loans, credit cards, car payments etc.
Once you get to this stage then it becomes much easier to be investing into assets that create long term wealth.
In order to get your business growing however we find that running an audit on your business at least once a year in various areas can help identify what you’re good at and places where you may need help.
Once those have been identified then we can put a plan in place to make those areas work better for your business.

Think about it – how much of that sales cycle from a customers point of view is based around trying to work out if they can trust you or not ?
If you can use podcasts and videos to increase the level of trust very quickly, why would you not be using it ?
Anyway – look – get the form filled in, thats the first step, and we’ll speak after you have completed it.
I’ve just recently come back to Spain from the UK. Each time I do this it’s a bit of a trek. Buses, trains, planes and taxis. It takes quite a bit to get there and get back.
This is my choice though.
I make that choice to go through all of that so I can live in Spain and have the lifestyle that I have out here.
You have your choices too. The job that you have is a choice. The travel to work is a choice. You made those choices and you continue to make them. You choose to get up in a morning, then you chose whether to have breakfast or not and how you are going to get to work etc.
You can make different choices if you want to. That’s what I did.
I chose to stop sitting in queues of traffic each morning to go to a job that didn’t really fulfil me or make me truly happy. I chose to put an end to that.
If you felt like you truly had a choice, what would you do tomorrow morning? Would you get up and go to work because you love what you do or would you like to do something different?
If you love your job then that’s great. You’ve found something that fulfils you so keep on doing it. If you would rather make a different choice then you need to start making some different choices.
Instead of sitting watching tv, how about you start working on a business that is going to pay you enough over time so that you can leave that job that you don’t really like? If you don’t have the skills yet, go and get those skills. If you don’t have the confidence to do it on your own, go and get a coach to guide you and help you with your mindset.
It’s all about the choices you make from day to day and moment to moment.
The biggest question I get from clients is : Lead generation – how do I get more leads ?
As a Rockstar level Coach, helping you figure out what to do to build a network of new leads is something we do to help your business grow.
For example, it always starts with the offer, so make an offer to potential leads that is hard to refuse. This can be a discount, a give-away, or some source of information that they’ve been dying to have. It needs to be relevant to them, or else you’ll never get them to respond. Try a few different things to see what works the best. I normally go with a ‘Lead Magnet’ – this is something that entices the person to give you their email address and allows you to contact them later on and build trust, educate them and hopefully lead them to an eventual sale.
Being a Business Coach, often means that I have to come up with lots of ideas to make you into a Rockstar Business Owner, and we’re never short of ideas due to our extensive experience in helping businesses just like yours.
If digital advertising is something you are utilising, we often help clients set up landing pages for use by your potential leads. Landing pages help drive traffic to your website. You are being specific to their information needs. If you place a contact form on that page, it will certainly help generate leads, especially combined with a ‘Lead Magnet’. The more leads you have, the more chances of closing business.
Don’t forget to survey your current customers about where they typically congregate online. To generate quality leads, you need to understand where your audience hangs out. Once you know, get involved in that community any way you can. That may mean advertising or it may mean becoming a thought leader in the community.
Another great way to generate leads is to ask people you know for referrals. It doesn’t matter if you’re a wedding planner or a car salesman, let people know what you do and ask if they know anyone who may need you. They might not today, but they might in the future.
Readers that want to build a business that does well in any economy need to learn what they can about lead generation. A business’ future is uncertain if new customers are not coming in. The tips above can help you get to where you need to be.
