I was just discussing Google Analytics with a client to see how much of their traffic was mobile vs. desktop.
My heart skipped a beat when I heard that 80%+ came from mobile and with a 94% bounce rate on mobile.
If you do only 1 thing for your marketing this week, PLEASE check your Google analytics to see where you stand with mobile traffic.
Here’s how you do it :
Login to Google Analytics > Choose your website profile > Click on the “Audience” option in the left hand sidebar to open your audience menu > Select “Mobile” and “Overview.”
You can change the date range in the top right corner.
I suggest looking at the last 90 days. Hopefully, yours is not as painful. However, I’m sure you can see the importance of this by seeing what I found for my clients.
Imagine the boost of income they will see when you begin to optimise your website with a few mobile marketing best practices.
How To Get Better Results :
The biggest change you can make is to test your website on your mobile phone.
If it looks exactly as it does n your desktop, then it’s not optimised for the mobile market.
I use wordpress – and it automatically creates a copy of the website specifically for the mobile market.
So,
1. Check your analytics
2. Test your website
