Airbnb disrupting Hotels | FT Business


The rise of Airbnb and other online accommodation start-ups has led analysts to say that the multibillion-dollar hotel industry is being disrupted.

The FT’s Murad Ahmed and Malcolm Moore discuss whether hotel chains should fear new digital groups.

I know of several people who rent a property and then sublet via airbnb – making several┬áhundreds of pounds profit each and every month.

In fact, years ago, I owned a Short Term Let / Serviced Apartment company that did just that.
