Our telephone 'follow up' chap dropped me an email today.
He spoke with a potential client at legnth who stated he can his Facebook ads campaign much cheaper in Ukraine.
(For the record, we're £300 with the 50% off in place for the first 2 months - pretty cheap to begin with)
But it's interesting, because what's not cheap is blowing through someone elses ad spend very quickly and getting no results.
The 'opportunity cost' here, is not on getting cheaper management fees, it's on the ad spend that being spent to get zero leads.
It's when they blow your account and get the page banned and then magically disapear as they're overseas, never to be heard from again.
It's when they spend hundreds or thousands of pounds when the funnel doesnt actually work, zero nurture sequence, no pixel data, no retargeting.
But sure, there are people all over the world who can run Facebook Ads much cheaper than we do, in places like Pakistan, India, Thailand, Ukraine and so on.
But do they understand the UK culture, the language that's used, the buying signals to trigger and all of those little things that make an advert convert ?
I honestly doubt it.
Anyone can push buttons, heck, given 30 minutes, I could teach my 10 year to run ads.
Literally, anyone can run some facebook ads.
Just as literally, anyone could perform heart surgery .. I mean .. sure, I'll give it a go.
And of course, the patient is going to die, but, I'll give it a whilrl.
I know where the heart is, and I know how to make an incision with a sharp knife, I'll just keep going until I get to the heart, right ?
I was at an event a few weeks ago and there was a baker who makes beautiful wedding cakes.
Now, do you think I can bake a cake?
Sure !
Of course - heck I've even done on in the microwave (those little cake in a cup mixes)
But could I present that as the wedding cake at a wedding ?
Of course not - that's why a decent wedding cake costs a lot more money.
It's exactly the same.
So my advice for this potential client was to simply use the guys in Ukraine, and wished them the very best of luck.
When they've blown your budget, and broken the FB page, come back to us and we'll fix it for them
We share stuff like this, because most people just go on price, but to get the result costs a little bit extra, and it's easy to be blinded by the price (even though £300 a month is pretty good value from a team with decades of experience under our belts)
